Applicant must register before going to the fingerprint site either:

- By phone

Payment can be made on line @ www.pa.cogentid.com using a credit card.
Money orders or cashiers checks will be accepted on site made payable to Cogent Systems.

Go to the site of your choice - but confirm the site nearest to your before going - sites may change over time. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE PHOTO I.D.
After identity is established, fingers are scanned. Takes around 3 - 5 minutes. They are then sent electronically to the Pennsylvania State Police who will submit it to the FBI.
The new electronic process is expected to make reports available within two days.
At the site, applicants will be given a Transaction Control Number (TCN) that must be given to the hiring entity. Applicants can receive a copy of the Report at the site where they are fingerprinted for an additional cost of $2.00. The paper copy is not regarded as the official copy but will provide the applicant with a copy of the information that the hiring entity will see when the report is reviewed. This is the only opportunity for the applicant to request a paper copy of their report.
